Dungeness - East of the point

There are some very decent Dabs at Dungy!

Back to Dungy, this time for a night session. Got taught quite a lesson. Fished to the east of the point, in an area renowned for producing the goods over the top of the tide at distance. I can cast far enough for most occasions, but my friend Stuart who I was fishing with can cast significantly further than me. As the tide flooded, he showed me what those extra yards meant in the way of fish.

As the tide built, so a pod of fish came through, and Stuart was reaching them, and bagged thee in as many casts. Twenty minutes later, the same thing and Stuart now had five prime cod to eat. And that was the last of the fish for the night. very strange.....!
