Eel on 6/0 and whole fillet.....

Eel on 6/0 and whole fillet

Out with Shak, for our first one on one session. After the previous nights activity, my confidence was sky high that we would have a succesful nights fishing. Heading back to the spot, I noticed the glinner of a fire, before I noticed the sound system, and dancing. Of all the reasons I have had to end up giving to a client to explain the lack of success, a rave was not one I ever expected to use. This drove us further east, to some other nice deep grooves that run from sea to shore. But no bass, unfortunately. I did manage the very green eel above, fairly hooked on a 6/0 which initially got my heart racing.

With poor fishing, as dawn broke I suggested we pop to the marina, so at least Shak could take home a feed for his family. A little sporadic, the mackerel were feeding until the first of the suns rays saw them move off. We had taken enough for our purpose though, and a tired but happy Shak set off back to London Town.
