Nick, fishing in perfect Surf.
Nick came down to assist in collecting bait for our planned trip to Orford, but with perfect surf I set him to work with a bass rod instead whilst I pimped some worms. Castng thirty yards to reach a tabe of clean surf behind the muddy surf, he was into bait ripping tugs from the beggining. Dificult to connect to though.

The biggest bass of the session
Having dug enough bait to satisfy our requirements the following day, I broke out the bass rod myself. Nick had by this time managed to connect with one, a small schoolie. I added a further four to our tally, all small, and also caught what was probably responsible for many of our bites, a very tiny bootlace Eel.!!
