Sussex Rough. Thick kelps dominate a rocky foreground.
I REALLY wanted this session to be a winner. I had a former boss, Tony, from happy times working in a computer centre in Brentwod, Essex, and again many years later working for a buisness continuity company out at Heathrow, down for a full night in search of a good spikey. The tides had been picked with precision, big tides on a new moon cycle. Conditions were perfect for a rough ground session. Originally, I had a plan A and a plan B. There was also a plan C just in case, and a plan D, although it came to pass that plan D was not pursuable, as Tony had responsibilities to get back for during the following day. Well, plan A was a good one, but produced nothing. Plan B was given a damn good thrashing as well, but wasnt to be. It just didnt happen, and I was mortified. Two poor client trips on the trot is a rocker in this game. The company, however, was without equal, especially if you are a blackadder fan, and I think Tony got good experience of fishing in an environment far removed from his normal marina and chesil exploits. Unitl the next time Tony, and all I can say, is fishing is a funny old game!!
