20th October - Bassing with Alan

First blood to Alan

Back out with Alan, and once again he bought down some pretty miserable weather with him from the city. Strong winds and rain made most of the beach marks not a great prospect. I did however, have some big Sussex freshouts, which always redresses the balance a little if you can find somewhere free of weed and swells, to enable you to fish them in the margins. Brighton marina was the answer, fishing back up to the beach. With the tide flooding nicely it wasnt long before Alan scored first blood with the pictured above.

One for me!!

More followed, and on such a foul night, any port in a storm seemed an appropriate analogy. Most importantly, Alan was getting his string pulled, and bass make you smile, no matter how big!!
