Alex finds his Sole...!!

Back out with brothers Mike and Ray, and Rays young lad Alex, in pursuit of Sole, as Alex had determined it was one of the species he really wanted to catch this year. Thankfully, the only sole of the session came to Alex, fishing the "Flat Out" rig, which is now available online from the DVice website - www.dvice.co.uk.

That wasnt to say the fishing was slow. The rods were rarely still, as a succession of school bass and eels sucumbed to the "Flat Out", fished with inch sections of king ragworm.

I should point out that Alex does have eyes, but in my efforts to flood the picture with light, inevitably my headlamp blinds him!! Sorry, Alex. I will remember to switch it off next time.......

In all, we caught quite a few fish, and although there was only one sole caught, it was the target fish and I think Alex was well chuffed. It was nice for Mike and Ray to see the tips busy as well, as our previous sessions have been more selective species wise, with two hound trips very poor. As I like to say, A good worm drowning session is good for the sole........!! I'll get me coat.....
