Catching the bait
Met up with Ian and headed to the marina to secure our pouting livebaits. So far so good, the plan was working. With mirror calm seas and crystal clear waters, I was hopefull of some rod bending action on the shingle of Seaford

Cephalod Attack!!
And rod bending action we did get. Three runs on the flood, and a succession on the ebb. Unfortunately not from bass, but from either cuttlefish or squid, as we didnt manage to land any. I think the lack of bass was down to the presence of huge numbers of these creatures. Too much competition for the few baitfish brave enough to run the gauntlet up the shingle!!
