14th September -Mark and George, General fishing

George (Left) and Mark with the first fish of the day

George (Left) and Mark with the first fish of the day

A father and son introduction to our wonderful game, these sessions have to be my favourites. To see little faces light up as they land their first fish is quite something to be observed. And to see father and son working at it as a team is also a very special thing. I think my fondest memories of my father are those where he took me fishing. Special time, not influenced by other members of the family. Happy days!! I digress (as usual?). With the excellent fish stocks currently around our coast, it didnt take long for Mark and George to master the float rod, and the "down the wall" rig. Dinner was soon forthcoming!!

As the darkness came on, so the nightime predators replaced the daylight ones, in the relentless 24/7 massacre that is Whitebait feeding. Enter the Horse Mackerel..............

All in all, a very good session, with lots of action, and different species to catch George's imagination. Although I am not sure who had the biggest smile at the end of the day. George or Mark...............
