Catherine and yet another star fish
Back out with Dulcie and Catehrine again, in pursuit of table fish. WIth nice conditions, it should have been a fish fest. And when whilst demonstrating how to work feather, I took a mackie first cast, I felt we would be ok. But it wasnt to be. The palace pier club were fishing a competition up there, some of the best and knowledgable marina anglers, and I took some comfort in the fact they werent finding many fish either.

Dulcie with Tea...!!
We kept at it, and I managed a few odd mackerel. Then, I happened to be watching Dulcie as she was working a set of feathers, and was very pleased to watch her face as she connected to a decent mackerel. Her expression, if it was translatable, went something like this. "Whats that...? Can it be weed? Its wiggling....... ITS A FISH!!!!" Needless to say, it was a delighted Dulcie that managed to catch her tea!! We carried on fishing for a good long while, as we were also looking for black bream, but it wasnt to be. From three bream rods, we got just one bite all afternoon. Another extremely poor day on the marina, and I suspect its still an issue from that terrible May rot. Things most definately, can only get better!!!!
