Alex's first hound

Regular client's Mike and Ray have had two previous trips out with me looking for big hounds. First time, the weed was a nightmare, and the night after our trip, the weed eased and hounds a plenty were caught. The second time, I had been enjoying a week of good hound catches, until the day they joined me for a banker session, where the hounds had impolitely left the beach for the summer.......... Third time lucky? Well, sort of......... Originally, I had kept the night free, as it was my birthday, but with the hound potential this good, and the previous trips still weighing on my concience, I contacted Mike to suggest the session. Ray couldnt make it due to other comittments, so Mike bought his young lad Alex down for the session. After the catches of the other night, I was pretty confident we would see a good result, and said as much to them, with the reminder that hound can, as they had previously experienced, come and go on a single tide. Well, they had gone!! Luckily, young Alex managed a couple of pups, so he can still tell his schoolmates he caught a shark. But poor Mike!!!! Its beginning to look like they might go again, and if they do, this time I will endeavour to get Mike out in the peak, rather than the departure!!
