5th October - Collecting bait

Jarsey with Mackerel

Needed to get some fresh mackerel for that nights session with clients. I invited one of my lodgers, Jarsey along, as I had been promising to show him some of what the fishing is about, and I cant lie in that many hands make for shorter bait gathering sessions. Plenty of mackerel and garfish from the bend on the East arm, so mission accomplished and Jarsey's first UK seafish!

Nightime - Bassing with Clive and Mark

The bait gathering had been in anticipation of a lively nights fishing out with Clive and Mark. All the factors were looking pretty good, apart from the fact that the bass didnt stop by to pick up any of our baits!! Clive and Mark both fished attentively, and certainly werent doing anything wrong. Its just that fishing can be like that sometimes, despite the best laid plans and the very best of fresh bait!!

Met up with Clive and Mark and headed out for another session after the spikeys. But the spikeys didnt want to play ball with us on this occasion. The guys patiently sat it out, but for no result.
