Muddy seas looking fishy along Brighton beaches
Back down to Brightons beaches today, which wasnt what I intended but as Graham drove down to the tackle box from my house I was immediately taken with the extremely coloured conditions along the seafront. We set up on the West arm of the marina on the flood. Alternating between fresh out blacks and slipper limpet, we had enough bites to keep the interest, and most of them, unusually at this spot, about an hour down the tide.

The only spikey of the day
Finally Graham managed to contact a fast bite, and it resulted in the target species. In fact, it resulted in the only target species that we caught all day...!!

We caught a few of these..........
Eels seemed to be the most active species, with three landed and a few more lost.

AAGGHHH.... 1
We moved to another spot for the late ebb, as the west arm became all a bit weeded out as the water dropped. I had mentioned to Graham previously that at another spot I fish regulalry, if on the first cast you get a rockling, then you are unlikely to get a bass. Well, it wasnt the first cast, but the first cast as dusk descended that I caught the chap above.

A bigger AAARRRGGGHHH!!!! 2
And then when I got one on the next cast, I knew it was time to depart. Quite a depressing sign of things to come on local beaches.........!
