Mossim proudly displays the first fish of the session
Shak and Mossim came down from sunny East London to breathe the fresh air of Brighton town. The mission this time was bass, and with a bit of breeze happening, the surf beaches of Sussex were the obvious choice, as the boys had not experienced the surfy fun before. Pumping the worm was far from easy, but I managed to keep enough coming to keep the boys fishing. The fishing was unfortunately a little slow, but bites were forthcoming, and Mossim struck first blood with the schoolie pictured above. There you go, Moss. Thats a better picture....... ;)

Shak and schoolie
Although we were after the bigger boys, having the schoolies attack the worm on this venue keep's you on your toes whilst waiting for the big one, and is a good training exercise in touch ledgering for bass. On this occasion, the bigger fellow's didnt show, so they were even more welcome.

Sunset on the surf
Pushing on into darkness, it was still only the rattle of schoolies keeping the rods moving. Another bonus of this mark though is that you get some stunning sunsets!!

Moss and wriggler.
Some variety came after the sun had set in the form of this eel to Moss, but that was to be the biggest fish of the day. As the water flooded back to the beach, and the swells increased with the depth of water, the light line fishing was no longer possible, and it was time to call it a day. Always a pleasure, Shak, and Moss. Probably be codding next time we meet.
