Goose barnacles cling to a buoy
No fishing for me today, but I did persuade the wife that walking the dog on the beach after the storm might be interesting. She is a huge fan of beachcombing, so it didnt take to much persuading. Suprisingly very little thrown up, although I did manage thirty metres of heavy duty rope formerly holding some cargo down on a ship somewhere out there. Other than that, the only thing of interest was these goose barnacles. Still alive, these creatures are a delicacy in Spain, where proffesional collectors risk their lives in the atlantic swells on the bottom of the biggest spring tides collecting them.

Any port in a storm......
Found more in this plastic shoe that are all the fashion. No old ladies living in there, just scores of goose barnacles!!

After the storm
Typically, on a day when I had other plans, the storm departed Brighton in the late afternoon, leaving Brighton beach with as good a low tide bass surf as you can get....!!!
