25th May 2004 - River Ouse

Weather - Clear skies. Light SW wind

 

Fished 19:00 til 20:00, then went for a stroll along the River. Fished fly rod for bass, but didnt see any fish at all, not even sea trout or mullet. Plenty of scrapes from mullet on the tops of the banks though, including some suggesting the 4 / 5 lb'ers have arrived. Regret not taking the camera cos there were some abslutely stunning sunset shots to be taking. looking back towards Lewes. Drove back along the coast road. Sea completely flat, reflections off boats, the lot. Probably wont fly fish for the bass for a couple of weeks, but starting to think about those fat Ouse mullet.
