Brent geese migrate Eastwards
With rumours of flounders further west, and not much else to fish for, Gary and myself elected to have a look at Shoreham's beaches, in the hope of finding a couple. On arrival, even the Brent geese seemed to be in a hurry to leave our chilled shores, with many skeins passing through as they move off to the warmer shores of Siberia........

Bingo!! A small flounder for Gary
Fishing with the usual scratching baits, blows, whites and reds, Gary was first away with a fish, and the target species, all be it a little small. Quite a nice change from Rockling......

More Geese

Ahem.......
My turn next, typically the fish I try and avoid the most.........

Gary didnt want to miss out.....
The fishing was very hard. Two rockling and a flounder was the final tally between us. A snmall silver lining is that they are now all heavily spawn bound, which means they will soon be doing their mating ritual, and then leaving us for another year!!
