Dorset lure Fishing Guide Mark Padfield, with double figure lure caught bass.
Holidaying in Dorset this year? If you are, you might want to consider an early morning/evening session with lure fishing wizard Mark Padfield. The 2009 season saw results to blow the mind, lure fishing from the Dorset coastline is very much alive and well.
After a lifetime spent walking the shingle of Dorset's stunning Chesil Beach, Mark has, as the result of thousands of rod hours, established the annual routines of predatory fish along the huge shingle wilderness. Not just bass either, but Pollock, squid, Salmon and Sea Trout that come to feast on concentrations of sand eel and brit.
An excellent communicator, Mark will explain everything about lure fishing that makes his catches exceptional. Why he has just six lures for all occasions out of the many thousands on the market. How to work those six lures in different conditions, to get the result you need. If you love the idea of lure fishing, but are struggling to get the results, a session with Mark will see you short-cut to success, and so enjoy future sessions with the real prospect of finding the fish you seek.
Mark's services are purely designed for visiting anglers. They are available to anglers living outside a radius of 60 miles from Weymouth.
Mark also would wish to point out that as a conservation measure, he operates a two sub 5lb fish bag limit per session.
Recommendations
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to a very talented angler - Mark Padfield. He went out of his way to take me out fishing/photographing this morning, and we had a blast. A few bass, stacks of mackerel and gar (in fact I have never seen so much bait moving around inshore in UK waters, good to see), and the main thing is that I was lucky enough to fish for a few hours with a true gent. And Mark knows his plugging big time. The guy has an incredible amount of knowledge - these kinds of anglers who build up so much knowledge of their local waters have my complete respect, and I learnt masses this morning. I caught a few bass because I did what Mark advised.
